Dear Oak Park Swim Team Families, We’re excited to share the details for our 2025 team trip to Fantasy Lake Adventure Park on Thursday, July 10! This fun-filled day will take the place of practice, and we hope all swimmers (5+ yrs) can join us as we try something new this year. Instead of our usual Wet ’n Wild outing, we’re heading to Fantasy Lake — it’s closer, more affordable, and still packed with adventure! 🗓 Trip Overview: • Date: Thursday, July 10 • Time: We’ll meet at the Oak Park pool at 7:45 AM and plan to return around 2:30 PM. • Please note: Exact session times at Fantasy Lake are still being finalized. We could be assigned a time slot from 9:00–1:30, 11:30–4:30, or 2:00–6:30. We’ll confirm as soon as we know, but for now, we’re planning around a morning session. • Location: Fantasy Lake Adventure Park, Wake Forest, NC • Transportation: We’ll be carpooling from OPK, and we encourage chaperones to come along! If you’re available to drive or supervise, please let us know in the RSVP form. • Cost: $60 per swimmer (covers admission and activity access) • Gas Fee: $5 per swimmer, paid directly to your driver on the day of the trip to help cover gas. 🎒 What to Bring: • Plenty of sunscreen • Water bottles • Towels (bring extras!) • Clothes to change into for the ride home • A packed lunch or money for a group restaurant outing To help us coordinate carpooling, tickets, and supervision, we need all RSVPs submitted by Friday, June 27. WHO MEMBERS of the swim team 10&over COST $10 BRING Everyone: swimsuit, towel, appetite for JUNK FOOD, positive attitude, sweater FOOD We will provide snacks and drinks for everyone but NOT DINNER. Complete JUNK FOOD ONLY. FUN Water balloon toss, penny dive, human knot, diving board contests, great music, synchronized swimming contest, and more! DETAILS Coaches will chaperone. It will be exhausting. Your swimmers will arrive at midnight high on sugar!! Yay for you!! No swimmers under 10 will be allowed to stay for the lock-in. |
