TSA Meet Information
Good evening! If you are receiving this email, your swimmer(s) is/are registered for the TSA Meet on Sunday. This email will (hopefully!) have all the information you need to be ready.
1. Volunteers: In order to make this meet happen and be successful, parent volunteers are essential. The sign-up for volunteers, officials, and hospitality donations can be found here. Remember, only volunteers, officials, and swimmers can be on deck. We will have two Guppy Coaches, Leighton Livengood and Sophie Key, serving as Kid Pushers for Session 1 and Session 2. James Weischedel will be serving as our TSA Rep for Sessions 1 & 2 and I will be the rep for Sessions 3 & 4. Volunteer check-in will begin one hour prior to the start time and will be outside the main doors of TAC.
2. Swimmer Waiver: Each swimmer must have a completed waiver prior to Sunday. Please complete this form for each of your swimmers as soon as possible.
3. Session Times: The warm-up and session times have been finalized. They are:
Session 1 (6&U, 7-8) | Doors Open: 7:00 am | Warm-Up: 7:15am | Session Starts: 8:00am
Session 2 (9-10) | Doors Open: 10:45am | Warm-Up: 11:00am | Session Starts: 11:45am
Session 3 (11-12) | Doors Open: 2:00pm | Warm-Up: 2:15pm | Session Starts: 3:00pm
Session 4 (13-14, 15-18) | Doors Open: 5:15pm | Warm-Up: 5:30pm | Session Starts: 6:15pm
4. Heat Sheets: The Heat Sheets and Athlete Summary for each session are in this Google Folder. Please review and let me know if you have any questions.
5. Facility Information: (Triangle Aquatic Center, 275 Convention Drive, Cary, NC 27511) Course includes a 10-lane, 25-yard competition course with a variable depth ranging from 7 to 12 feet. There is a Swiss Timing Quantum timing system that will include automated touch pads, at least one semi-automatic plunger, and at least one watch per lane with an HD video scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software will be used. There will be no warmup/cool-down lanes available during the event. Locker rooms are available to participating swimmers only.
Only meet participants, volunteers, and officials may be on the pool deck. There is a seating capacity for 1,000 spectators on the viewing level. No chairs are allowed on the viewing level. (Swimmers may have a chair on deck.)
There will be NO PARKING in the pool parking lot. You may use the swimmer drop off lane to drop off your swimmer(s) before parking.
Food and refreshments will be available at the concession stand in the main lobby. NO glass containers are allowed inside the facility. NO smoking or vaping is allowed inside the facility.
6. Scoring: Scoring will be as follows:
Individual event points: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Individual events will be scored for age groups: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
Relay event points: Double the individual points. Only one (1) relay may score from each team in each relay event.
7. Awards:
Medals: 1st – 8th place individual events 1st – 3rd place relays
Ribbons: 9th – 16th place individual events 4th – 8th place relays
Individual awards will be presented for age groups: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
High point awards will be given to the female and male of each age group: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
The Championship Trophy (traveling) and Team Trophy will be presented to the top-scoring team. The Small Team trophy will be presented to the highest point team with 100 or less swimmers on their roster for the 2024 season.
