Good evening Piranha Parents!

We are excited to kick-off our 2024 swim season at LifeTime Fitness Raleigh tomorrow evening. Below is some information to help you know what to expect and to plan for the evening:

LifeTime Fitness Raleigh Pool

8515 Falls of Neuse Rd.

Raleigh, NC, 27615.

Parking is available at the gym, with overflow parking nearby, if needed.

Arrival and Pool Access

Please try to arrive by 5:15 for our 5:30 warm-ups. We know and understand the afternoon will be hectic for many of our families given school is still in session. Enter LifeTime through the front door and inform the front desk that you are here for the swim meet. All visitors must sign in and comply with all safety rules, regulations, and policies while on LifeTime property. LifeTime is requesting photo ID from adults and may request contact information and/or other personal information for a waiver. You will then walk through the family locker room to access the outdoor pool.

Team Area & Concessions

Our team area is the deck space on the wall between the indoor pool deck and the outside area, across from the mushroom. A snack bar also offers healthy food options such as sandwiches, wraps, chicken strips, smoothies, veggie chips, pizzas, and drinks (card payments only). The snack bar will be open until 7 PM. Families are allowed to bring a small soft cooler with drinks and snacks. However, please note that hard or large coolers are prohibited in the pool area. Furthermore, glass items are not allowed on the pool deck.

Volunteers

We are still in need of multiple volunteers to help with timing and some other roles. If you are able to help, please sign-up through SwimTopia. If you are volunteering tomorrow evening, please check in with Tricia Wendel when you arrive. Judges and timers will have a meeting at 5:30 pm.

Entries and Heat Sheets

You can check your swimmers’ entries on the SwimTopia website and in the app. Heat Sheets will be published tomorrow morning and then you will be able to see heat and lane assignments for each event. The SwimTopia app is available on both Apple and Android. You can also check the app for your swimmers’ times after the meet.

Warm-Ups: 5:30

Meet Start Time: 6:00 pm

The pool at LifeTime cannot operate past dusk. This may affect entries and the ability to complete the meet. As long as we are able to complete the breaststroke, the meet is scored and stands as-is.
